Olympiacos FC football player Kevin Mirallas was listed among the top 100 footballers of the year in the UEFA European Football Yearbook 2011/12. Taking the opportunity, the official website of the club contacted the Belgian striker and asked him about this great distinction.
Kevin, first of all, congratulations on this wonderful achievement; obviously, you are very happy, right?
“Of course I am. It is very important for me to be among the top footballers in Europe. However, I must remain down to earth and keep in mind that I’m still a bit far from winning the Balon D’Or at this point, but it is definitely a step closer to receiving it one day.” (laughs)
Who do you think will be awarded this honour this year?
“I believe that it will be either Messi or Ronaldo.”
Who would you give it to, if you could?
“I would give it to me (laughs). No, seriously, I would prefer Ronaldo.”

“I just told you, didn’t I? (laughs). Personally, I like him better.”
